SACRAMENTO
Your students will be amazed as they stand underneath the dome of the California State Capitol Building. Then they are off to Old Town Sacramento for some flavor of the Gold Rush along with a visit to the California State Railroad Museum. Sutter’s Fort comes alive as your students participate in a scavenger hunt or see reenactors in period costume.
COLOMA - GOLD COUNTRY
Your students will travel back in the days of the Gold Rush. As they visit the gold discovery site – they will hear the stories of James Marshall and John Sutter, the miners, the Chinese, and
others. Each student will be given a gold pan to take their turn at striking it rich on the banks of the American River. Students on Tour also offers overnight camping options in Coloma.
SAN FRANCISCO
Nestled among the hills surrounded by water, San Francisco is truly a beautiful city. Your students will have an opportunity to ride the world-famous cable cars or walk across the Golden
Gate Bridge. A short boat ride will bring your students over to Alcatraz Island – will they escape “the Rock”?
